The global reveal of the @VolvoCars EX30 full electric B-segment SUV was relayed live to an event in SA. It may be the smallest SUV and the 3rd full electric model in the Volvo range but the biggest news must be the pricing announced. Considering that it has all the safety, luxury and technology that you would expect from Volvo, then the starting price of R775 900 makes it the best value electric model in SA so far. The entry model is powered by a single motor with the top models in the 5 model range offering dual motors, 315kW and a 0-100km/h acceleration time of 3.6 seconds. Prices for the top model are still below R1 million. Order books open on 8 June 2023 and deliveries are expected in early 2024.
